The challenge
Accountants were exporting everything to Excel because the old screens hid the numbers that mattered.
What I did
- Shadowed 6 bookkeepers through a month-end
- One home screen with the five numbers that matter
- Keyboard shortcuts for power users
- A dark theme for long evenings
The result
The headline: −38% time to close the books each month. The Ledgerline team now runs everything on their own, with a short guide for anyone who joins later.
